No, it works. I found this option shortly after my last post. The icon is gone with this option, too. Best case would be icon (as it had been, inverted one for connected/not connected) without notification, but I think I read that this is a restriction by Google, that priority tasks with an icon also need the notification...

I'm sorry, but I'm not really familiar with rooting and stuff. But does the Nexus 5 works for Audi MMI Plus? Do I only have to root the Nexus 5 (and install the rSap app) to get rSap to work?

Audis usually use the "Handsfree" Bluetooth profile which is supported by every Android phone without any additional app.

When your Audi has the "car phone" or "Audi connect" option, you may alternatively connect via rSAP. If you choose to connect with rSAP you would have to root your Nexus 5, flash the old radio image and install my app.

If you don't use my rSAP app you need not care. Simply accept the update when it is offered.

If you have "Audi connect" (you didn't mention so far), yes. As far as I know Internet sharing (WiFi hotspot) requires rSAP or a separate SIM card.

If you want to use that you have to go through rooting, flashing radio, etc. I can't help it ;)

Hi,

I have a nexus 5 and Audi connect from mmi navigation plus system.

I have rooted my N5 and I have installed instalation App and rsap trial, I think I have followed all the instructions given in the foro, but I have not gotten to share the data connection beetwen my N5 and my Audi.

Could you suggest me a solution to fix it?

Thanks in avance.

Did you flash the old radio/baseband image?
