Galaxy Nexus N/G with Hyundai Dimension system

Post by momcat1 » Mon Apr 08, 2013 12:35 am

I found your app mentioned on another forum, and having tried many things, checked it out. My phone is Galaxy Nexus GSM GT-i9250, and is listed as compatible with your app. I purchased on PLay and gave it a try. While your app seems to load just fine, and both PBAP and IrMC are both loaded, there has been no improvement in getting phone book entries to upload into my Hyundai Dimension system.

If anyone else has had success with this combination, would you please let me know?

Forgot to add, my Galaxy is not rooted as in running Jellybean 4.2.2.

Does the app show a "last connected" under one of the profiles? Maybe your car uses Handsfree profile for phonebook transfer.

I did not see anything. I also checked 'create log' in Bluetooth App, in the hope that I could read through the log, and maybe get a clue that way. But I don't see any folders or logs in my phone that might hold a log. Where would I find that? Also 'create log' doesn't seem to stick. When I open the app later on, it's unchecked again.

Hey, I found the logfile. I tried to attach it, but .txt isn't allowed on this forum.

If you don't have a "last connected" under a profile your car does neither use PBAP nor IrMC. Most probably it uses the Handsfree profile to transfer the phonebook. Sadly I cannot fix that. But you can create a HCI log with my logger app so I can make sure.

If you want to send me logs the best is to mail them to admin (at) android-rsap (dot) com. Don't post them publicly - they may contain private data!
